M30-T Thermal Drone a game changer in surveying

The DJI M30 T - Thermal Imaging Drone joined the rest of the DK Property Services Aerial Fleet alongside the Inspire - 2 and the Mavic - 2 - Zoom.

Each drone designed with specific tasks in mind.

The M30T allows us here at DKPS to scan the external envelope of a building including external walls, roof and cladding profiles as well as atriums and curtain walling with temperature variations show on each thermal image and between the various junctions and elements of a building.

These temperature variations will highlight and show as hot spots and show potential air leaks, light leaks and heat loss between the various elements of a building.

This allowing us to compile a detailed report on every elevation as well as all roof profiles.

Our report will also detail recommendations to each area highlighted as a hot spot. This will allow contractors to carry out retrofitting or remedial works or design teams as part of a wider scope of works to improve a buildings overall heat loss performance and improve the overall BER rating.

Thermal Drone Surveys can also highlight water ponding between roof membranes and narrow down the initial area of water ingress all from the safety of the ground thus reducing the need for a spark test on the roof.
